Daily trip 24 May 2012 | Great White Shark Cage Diving South Africa

CRAZY, is the word needed to describe today’s trip which was very dramatic throughout! The sharks were putting on a true spectacle for everyone to enjoy and they came prepared with their teeth out! The sharks have been average in size over the last few days with no real mentionable big sharks making an appearance. “Zane” however did show up and was the largest shark of the day at a size of 3.9 meters, which is still big in my book! Our youngest guest was only 6 years old and he made the most adorable seal noises in the cage, I believe it was seal noises :)! We had a big family of 10 people, demonstrating once again that shark cage diving is for young, old and the whole family. Great day..
Daily trip 23 May 2012 | Shark Diving South Africa

Our trip had a bit of a late launch today due to the shifting of the tides, nonetheless we still made it out to our dive site! The wind was definitely prevalent on the water today, however we were very fortunate to have mild swell. A combination of strong winds and big swell would not have been pleasant for a first time sea farer, luckily the weather remained good for the shark sightings! We had loads of kelp gulls around the boat, skimming off some of our chum, they truly are like flies sometimes! The sharks were giving great passes but were reluctant to come up to the surface, making the taking of photos quite difficult. I still got my shots however...
Daily trip 22 May 2012 | Cage Diving South Africa

What a spectacular trip we had on board “Slash Fin” today! We needed very little waiting time for the sharks to arrive and they remained constant throughout the trip. Once again we had sharks all below the 4 meter margin. These sharks did however make up for their lack of size by increasing their speed, wow! We had a sighting of an adorable family of African Penguins around Dyer Island, they truly melted everyone’s harts. The conditions on the water were only surpassed by the amazing guests on board, a truly wonderful bunch of people! Thanks everyone...
Daily trip 21 May 2012 | Great White Shark Diving South Africa

We had some awesome sightings throughout the trip today although the initial start was a bit slow at first. The sharks were all in the range of between 3- and 3.8 meters, nothing massive but still bigger than me :)! We also had an abundance of Cape Cormorant activity on the water which delivered a phenomenal aerial display! Today was the first time we have taken to the seas since the weekend was rained out, but Marine Dynamics is gearing up for the next set of amazing weather days! Very enjoyable trip today...
Daily trip 17 May 2012 | Great White Shark Cage Diving Gansbaai

Today was jam packed full of adventure! The swell on the water today turned even the simple action of getting into your wetsuit into a fun activity for the whole family :)! After everyone had their fair share of laughs at each other, the sharks started to arrive on the scene. They were a bit reluctant to breach the surface today, which made surface photos a bit difficult but not impossible as you can see. The divers in the cage were able to see the sharks quite nicely with a few very close passes taking place! I am very happy to have seen so many happy faces after the trip, even though some of our guests were a bit sick, everyone had a good time! Same time tomorrow...
